Come Friday, 17-year-old prodigy and debut author, Sanya Runwal will launch her first book "Ten Dollar Bride". Classical Singer, Social Activist and Eminent Banker, Shrimati Amruta Fadnavis, will be gracing the event to celebrate the zest of the young shining star. The launch will be hosted by award-winning author Ravi Subramanian. Inspired by real-life events, the book showcases an unflinching account of the reality of many young girls living in shadow lines of this country.

Sanya has recently made being in news for starting a foundation that aims at providing low-cost and high-quality menstrual hygiene products. With "Ten Dollar Bride", she aims to become the mouthpiece for many young girls in India and tell the story of their dreams and desires as an attempt at resisting the patriarchy within which they live.
