IATF 16949:2016 is the Automotive Quality Management System standard that has been designed to be a supplement to, and used in concert with, the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System standard. IATF 16949:2016 is not a stand-alone standard, and defines the requirements above and beyond a standard ISO 9001:2015 QMS that all Automotive organizations must implement along with all applicable Customer-Specific Requirements.
