SUNIL AVACHAT, FLAUTIST ( BANSURI ) FROM PUNE


Sunil Avachat is a young, talented bansuri player from India. He is a versatile musician who performs solo Indian Classical music as well as fusion, light, folk and many other genres.


He has travelled through the length and breadth of the world performing solo bansuri as well as with various music bands. These performances were appreciated by audience thoroughly.

Sunil regularly performs for various radio and television channels in India. He did some projects with television channels of South Korea, Germany and USA. He also has recorded background music for a Hollywood movie and many Indian movies.

He is an ‘A’ grade artist of India’s Radio-television empa...nelment board. Many music albums are at Sunil’s account. Some of them were released in South Korea. One among them was awarded by ‘Critic Choice Award’. He is an empanelled artist of Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR).

He is a honorary lecturer and exam conductor at music department of Pune University. He has participated in various projects of FTI students.

Sunil is also a good ‘bansuri’ instrument maker. All the professional bansuri’s in his kit are all made by himself. Many other professional flautists also like to use his flutes in concerts. He is a senior disciple of legendary flautist Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia. Initially, he learned bansuri from Pune’s senior bansuri player late Pt. Arvind Gajendragadkar. Sunil holds a sound academic background. He is a Civil Engineering graduate along with Diploma in Software Engineering and holds prestigious Certifications on Java and Oracle platforms.
