You will not see the mention of the Safdarjung's Tomb often in the tour itineraries of Delhi, as it remains one of the lesser-visited complexes of the city. This garden tomb of late 18th century was built in memory of Abul-Mansur Khan, the Wazir ul-Hindustan or Prime Minister during the reign of the late Mughal kings. Built by Safdarjung’s son, Nawab Shuja-ud-Daula, the tomb is regarded as the last monumental garden tomb depicting the Mughal architectural style. Let’s explore the complex and know more about the late Mughal period and its architecture.
