Development Communication is a social process which encompasses sharing of knowledge aimed at
reaching a consensus for action that takes into account the interests, needs and capacities of all concerned
stakeholders. It is important to use the right tools and techniques to achieve this process, which shall be
taken up in this workshop.
The session provides:
• An insight to systems of collecting, storing, consolidating and analyzing development work of organisations with reporting templates that can cater to information requirements of varied stakeholders.
• A practical introduction to storytelling approaches that could be applied in grassroots program documentation; and present methods, tools and techniques of effective communication, with ways to share and
highlight them.
• Training to enable organisations to develop a culture of regular documentation, and involve stakeholders
to develop a unique social story by using innovative approaches.
• Determine the right communication channels and understanding the social media landscape by using the
Inspire, Educate and Reinforce framework.
