The Times of India celebrates one of the most awaited festival, Ganesha Chaturthi, with the citizens of Bengaluru with the aim to connect with the readers culturally and engage them with a meaning full celebration in an eco-friendly way. The initiative attempts to drive the message of Go-Green and hence coins the campaign name as Times Namma Green Ganesha.

This will be an activity done along with selected RWAs where contests, celebrity visits, fun activities etc. are lined up to create a festive atmosphere. The main attraction of the event is going to be the Ganesha idols made of organic materials that will be provided to the shortlisted RWAs. The winning society/RWA will also get a cash prize of INR 1 Lakh.
