About the Event

This four day mega event is going to be trendsetter among the youth, as this incorporates creative, technical, managerial and sporting skills of the participants. It is an endeavour to create a platform for students to explore their potential and bring together creatively, intellect and fervour of the youth. We, at INMANTEC Group of Institutions, encourage the students through their participation in numerous activities to help students in developing their personalities and enhance their confidence levels.

‘SPECTRUM 14’ is bringing along a whole gamut of events promising best competitive spirit for all the participants. The students are welcome to demonstrate their hidden talents and mesmerize the audience while earning accolades.

Programme Structure

SpriIT

Rangoli February 21, 2014

Timing : 10:00 to 12:00 hrs

It is a theme based Rangoli creation competition based on imaginative concepts. The participants will be required to create engaging Rangoli with different natural colours and material.

Team size: 3 to 4 students

Registration Fee : Rs. 150

Time allotted for the competition is 2 hours. 
The participants must bring their own material (flowers, colours & other material) with them. 
The teams will be judged on the basis of presentation, creativity, colour combination, relation to theme etc. 

Best out of waste February 21, 2014

Timing : 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM

The main objective of this activity is to enhance the students creativity and make them understand the importance of the 3R’s REDUCE, REUSE & RECYCLE. This competition would strive to teach the participants about the importance of conserving the resources and to make the best use of waste material in life.

Team size: 1 to 2 students

Registration Fee : Rs. 150

The participants must bring along all the material required for above activities. They may use old CDs, plastic bottles, tin boxes, disposables etc.

Workshop February 19-20, 2014

Timing : 09:30 AM to 05:00 PM

Google Apps’ training

This training would aim to acquaint students with Google Apps’ major features. The workshop would vastly be covered with lots of exercises, tips and techniques to get started with the technology. Some of the concepts to be imparted are:-

1. Cloud Computing

2. Apps’ scripting

3. Website development

Google products to be used in the training would be:-

1. Google Drive.

2. Google Sites.

3. Google Calendar

Prerequisite for the training is to have a Google account and zeal to learn the technology.

Dance February 19-20, 2014

Timing : 10 AM to Onwards

“Nobody cares if you can’t dance well. Just get up and dance. Great dancers are great because of their passion.”

Registration Fee :

Solo Dance: Rs. 200

Group Dance: Rs. 550

1. Performance may be in individual category and in group category.

2. Group limit is 5 to 6 candidates in each group.

3. All participants must bring their own costumes and CDs.

Singing February 19-20, 2014

Timing : 10 AM to Onwards

“Words make you think, music makes you feel, a song makes you feel a thought. The singer has everything with him.”

Singing is the act of producing musical sounds with the voice and augments regular speech by the use of both tonality and rhythm. It is the one talent virtually everybody possess. of, course some are mere naturally skilled than others .The students who have singing talent than it is best opportunity to show their talent.

Registration Fee : Rs. 200

1. All the competitors must be registered delegates of the event.

2. The time limit is 3 minutes for all solo performances. No group performance is allowed.

3. No accompanying instruments should be used for preliminary rounds.

4. The song may be Indian, Western, Folk or Fast number.

5. Cine Tunes are not allowed for preliminary rounds.

6. Participants will be judged on authenticity, theme, clarity of words, harmony, tune, rhythm, expression, discipline, timing and presentation.

7. The decision of the judges will be final and binding under all circumstances.

8. Karaoke or music for the performances has to be arranged by the participants for their respective songs for final round.

2. The decision of the Organizing Committee will be final & binding on all participants.

3. Organizing Committee reserves all the rights to cancel any registration at any point of time without assigning any reasons whatsoever.

4. Vulgarity & obscenity in any form is strictly prohibited and shall lead to disqualification.

5. Only winners of different activities will be invited for Grand Finale.
