Runbhoomi - The Jungle Run at Mandangad

Date: 16th October, 2016.

The time has come to evolve from normal city runs and go back to nature to seek new challenges. 
With Runbhoomi our effort is to preserve nature and spread awareness about climate change which is quite visible and instant action is required to address it.
Not being single race this is a series of race to be held in various parts of India begining with Mandangad, near to Mumbai, Pune, Raigad and Ratnagiri. 

The Trail:
The run is consist of exciting uphill run on the mountain, swamps, river crossings, steep climbs and descents, beautiful village trails combined with humidity and 
scorching temperatures which makes it exciting, scenic and challenging but well within the realms of any competitor who has a strong mental mindset.

The Venue: 
Mandangad is the headquarters of Mandangad taluka the northmost taluka in Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra, India. Mandangad is 175 km from Ratnagiri,
170 km from Pune and 192 km from Mumbai. The small town of Mandangad is a two peaked hill fort also known by the same name i.e. Mandangad. It is one of
the very old forts in the region with data suggesting that Mandangad was built in the 12th century during the reign of the Shilahara dynasty. Mandangad is blessed
with many tourist attractions surroinding it Velas Beach, Bankot Fort, The RadhaKrishna Temple in Gokulgaon and Kelshi.

This monsoon we are planting 1000 sappling at Adkhal village near Mandangad.

The Race:
Runbhoomi - The jungle run is consist of 3 races in one event i.e. 21KM Jungle run, 10KM Green run and 5KM Mud run.
Registrations for race will start on 25th April, 2016 under given categories
Half Marathon – INR. 2000/- 
Blue Green Runners – Half Marathon – INR. 1500/- 
Mud Run – 5km – INR. 1000/- 

Accomodation:
For our players who wants to reach Mandangad a day prior to event i.e. on Saturday can register camp stay with us at INR. 1500/- which includes stay in tent, bbq &
dinner. All the players registring with this stay event will be shared special event itinerary with assemble time and assemble point at Mandangad.

After Party Celebration:
Post event its time to celebrate at Blue Green Exotica Camp with after party which will start at 7.00 pm on 16th October. This is limited to only 100 pax on first 
registered, first serve basis. Cost for after party will be INR. 1800/- which includes stay in tent, bbq, dinner, bonfire, dance and loads of fun.

Climate:
As Mandangad is located on higher level than sea, the weather is not that humid. The winters are really very cold.

How to reach?
Mandangad is a junction where all the ST buses coming from Mumbai/ Thane/ Pune etc. and going to Kolhapur, Miraj, Khed, Dapoli, Bankot, Palekond, Kelshi, Mhapral,
Mahad Velas etc. halt. Nearest Railway Stations is Karanjadi - 27 km. Veer - 35 km. Goregaon - 45 km Khed - 50 km. Nearest Airports is Lohagaon, Pune - 107 km. 
Chatrapati Shivaji International Airport, Mumbai - 144 km. Kolhapur - 208 km.

Get fit for it!
Yes, physical fitness is a prime requirement for this trail but if you have strong mental tenacity to combine with it then you will ceratinly reach the finishing line.
We have parternered with Outplay (Pune) and Runners Academy (Mumbai) who have best practice training program for you. You can enroll with them for training and get fit
and ready for the event date.
