SRM University’s National Level Techno-Management Fest, AARUUSH quenches our thirst for innovative prerogatives. Since its inception in 2007, this brainchild of four graduating students has been a platform where students can showcase a fine blend of imagination and technical dexterity. Continuing to delve into unexplored avenues, Aaruush has pioneered a change not only in ideas, but also in mindset. A unique amalgamation of technology, management and societal issues, the theme each year has made innovation an intrinsic part of life.

As a part of AARUUSH this year, a National Level Robotics Championship is being organized, a first of its kind competition to provide all the participants a common platform to test their knowledge and engineering skills in the field of robotics. The Robotics Championship aims to provide a common platform for the students to test their mettle against each other in an all-out competition of concept designs of systems of robots programmed to perform according to rules of the game and various other competitions.

Theme: Janmashtami

Date: 22nd – 23rd August, 2014

Objective: Two teams play in accordance to the festive theme of Janmashtami in a game field with the Manual and the Autonomous Robot. The Manual Robot has to carry the Autonomous robot and make it achieve the theme of Janmashtami, which is the falling of the Handi from the provided location.

The Manual Robot has to place the Autonomous robot at a given spot on the arena and then provide to it the essentials of the Handi which are Sugar and Curd. Then the Manual Robot picks up the Handi and places it at the Handi place/zone.

Only after the above activities are completed the Autonomous robot has to climb up the step formation and pushing the Handi from its place such that it falls onto one’s arena rather than the steps.

On achieving this, the problem statement comes to an end and is thus declared "THE WINNER".

If no team is able to perform the above mentioned winning task, the winner will be decided as per the stated rules.
