Strawberry Fields, the annual music festival of the National Law School, is synonymous with the music scene in India. With 19 successful shows under its belt, it has become an undisputable altar where those who appreciate good music congregate to witness, and worship, the arrival of new and upcoming bands from across the country and beyond. This year the show will be happening from the 9th to the 11th of December. In the times of impatience, with one-day hear-it-and-leave festivals, SF offers three whole days of kicking back and relaxing with live music from 10 in the morning to 10 at night. Lay back on a grassy field, with beautiful blue skies above you & let the music wash over you.
Parvaaz is perhaps the most exciting new band to come out of India in many years. Parvaaz's sound has been described as a blend of blues, rock, and psychedelia with Kashmiri and Urdu lyrics. Despite all kinds of international influences, their music has a rootedness and an intent that imbues their music with a sincerity not often heard in popular music in India. Their songs speak of experience, ideas and explore traditional literature through Kashmiri and Urdu poetry. Watch their magic first hand on the 10th of December at Strawberry Fields: Edition XX.
