Since 2003, Kalyani Nagar Residents' Association (KNRA) has been hosting this Art Competition for children aged 3 to 15 years old in Pune, supported by all leading schools as well as residents of Kalyani Nagar.

So far, the contest has been held 12 times with over 6,000 entries!!!!

Full of imagination and artistic sensitivity, every year children draw pictures about nature, animals, family and the issues relevant to the society. These pictures also contain a message towards global environment, beyond borders and difference in their background cultures and languages.

As an organizer, we hope this contest provides the children an opportunity to think about cleanliness in our surroundings, environment, nature and animals by expressing their inspiration. At the same time, we believe the efforts to keep our surroundings clean will be further encouraged through the appreciation of such children's drawings.

The themes of "Clean India Green India" and “Lets Love Animals” are chosen to bring back the connect and harmony. The Earth we live on is home to varied living organisms - mammals, birds, fish, insects, trees, and flowers and many more. We want children to take pride in the fact that they were born on the Earth, an amazing planet which is inhabited by a huge variety of living organisms. We also want children to appreciate, respect and value natures’ resources.

We hope that many people will actually view children's drawings and sense the messages about the Greener and Cleaner Environment and Animal Love – which they express through their Drawings.

Drawing Topics for the Year 2015
Category A: Age Group 2 to 5 years
Coloring Fun - Fill the coloring sheet provided with bright and beautiful colors!

Category B: Age Group 6 to 10 years
Draw, Paint , Sketch and Express creatively the theme of “Lets Love Animals”

Category C: Age Group 11 to 15 years
Draw, Paint , Sketch, Stick, Collage, Recycle and express creatively the theme of “Clean India – Green India”

How to Participate
• Registrations will be taken on first come, first serve basis via SMS and Whatsapp Registrations only. To Register SMS/Whatsapp Name, School Name and Category to 9595082445.

• Last date for submitting Registration is 5th February, 2015

Judging Process
• All winners will be decided by Judges, experts appointed by KNRA. Three Prizes in each category will be awarded .

• Volunteers will collect all Drawing sheets category wise at 10.45 am.

• From these entries, 3 winners in each category will be selected by the panel of judges

• Take away Science Surprise – For all the Participants

• Judging will be done on the spot and exciting prizes shall be awarded to the winners.

Terms & Conditions
• Gates Close at 8.30 am, no Drawing sheets will be allocated to late entrants.

• All prizes and rewards are non-transferable and non-encashable.

• The final decision for selection of winners would be of KNRA’s designated judging panel.

• Starting January 10, 2015, KNRA Art Competition is open for registrations for all the age groups mentioned above

• Free snack, chocolate and refreshments for first 500 registrations
