Hariharan, an Indian playback singer, is one of the pioneers of Indian fusion music. In 2004, he was honoured with the Padma Shri by the Government of India. He is also a two-time national award winner. He sang for number of movies, serials. He has also acted in tamil film “Power of Women”. He composed more than thirty albums. The other major ghazal albums by him are Hazir (1992), Jashn (1996), Halka Nasha (1996), Paigham (1997), Kaash (2000), Lahore Ke Rang Hari Ke Sang (2005), and Guftagoo.

A well-known Tabla player musical producer, percussionist, film actor and composer, Ustad Zakir Hussain is the recipient of the honorable Padma Shri in 1988, and Padma Bhushan in 2002 that is conferred by the Government of India. He has also been awarded the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 1990, given by the Sangeet Natak Akademi, India's National Academy of Music, and Dance & Drama. In 1999, he was awarded United States National Endowment for the Arts's National Heritage Fellowship, the highest award given to traditional artists and musicians.
