House of Wow, a performing space in Bandra brings to you a Flamenco workshop by Shehzeen Cassum. Flamenco is an empowering and a very passionate dance form evolved by the gypsies from Andalusia, the region known today as Southern Spain. It is made up of 3 parts - guitar playing (guitarra), song (cante), dance (baile) and hence was first performed with musicians, dancers and singers together in the 18th century. In the recent years, Flamenco has been widely popular in the world. Moreover, UNESCO declared 'Flamenco' as one of the Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity.

This exclusive Flamenco workshop will be conducted by Shehzeen Cassum, who founded the first Flamenco school, the Shehzeen Cassum Flamenco Academy, SCFA, here in India to teach this form.
