Chadar trek, or the frozen river trek, is a unique and charismatic trek which gives an ultimate opportunity for trekkers to walk on the Frozen river of Zanskar. This Chadar trek allows you to observe the amazing landscapes and monasteries of zanskar valley and thus catch a glimpse of the life cycle during this time of the year.

This trek is for a hardcore mountaineer whose hunger for adventure is not satisfied with a hike or a climbing expedition. A sketch itinerary-

Day 1: Report to Leh: Acclimitization and Overnight in Leh

Day ...2: Leh in the winter snow: Many of you might have seen the city in Summer but winters it is a completely different place.

Day 3: Drive from Leh to Tilat Sumdo (by private bus or jeeps), camp at Tilat Sumdo.

Day 4: Trek from Tilat Sumdo to Shingra Koma, 9.5 kms, 6 hrs.

Day 5: Trek from Shingra Kongma to Dibb, 15 kms, 7 – 8 hrs.

Day 6: Trek from Dibb to Nerak, 12 kms, 7 hrs.

Day 7: Return from Nerak to Dibb, 7 hrs.

Day 8: Trek from Dibb to Shingra Koma.

Day 9: Trek from Shingra Koma to Tilat Sumdo and drive back to Leh

Day 10: A buffer day to take care of any blockages / delays.

Day 11: Bid the chadar and it's memories good bye.
