Eminent economist and Padma Bhushan
awardee, Dr. Kirit S Parikh to visit IMT Nagpur for the Shri
Mahendra Nath Memorial Lecture as part of their founders day celebration
Thursday, 10th September 2015; IMT Nagpur today announced the first ‘Shri
Mahendra Nath Memorial Lecture’ to be held on September 11, 2015 to commemorate
the birth anniversary of its founder Late Shri Mahendra Nath, a self-made man,
an eminent industrialist and philanthropist.
Dr. Kirit S Parikh, the eminent economist, educationist, policy maker and Padma Bhushan awardee will honour the occasion by
delivering the inaugural ‘Shri
Mahendra Nath Memorial Lecture on the topic of “Low Carbon Growth Strategy and
Policies”
Dr. Parikh is currently the chairman of the Integrated
Research and Action for Development (IRADe) and has to his credit several
national and international awards for his extensive contribution in the field
of researches in energy policies and climate change, as also in policy
prescriptions to the Central Government.
He has been a part of important government bodies as well as
multilateral international development agencies like UNDP.
