EDM Online Mashup Competition
Do you have what it takes to be the next big EDM hit? Saarang and Maruti Suzuki CoY 6 presents the EDM
online mashup competition. A once in a lifetime opportunity for budding DJs to prove their talent and get a
chance to open for Marnik and Sartek at the EDM Night, Saarang 2017. The winner will also be entitled to
feature as a wildcard entry into Maruti Suzuki’s Colors of Youth reality show on MTV.
The entry should comprise of a short bio and a 3-minute original mashup of at least one Marnik/Sartek
song. After the registration period closes, the top entries will be posted on the Saarang event page and the
artists will be given a period of 1 week to promote their post and gather likes.
Each entry will be tested for originality and entries which don't cater to the same will be disqualified.

Participants will have to send their entries to contact@saarang.org in the form of a link to drive/dropbox.

Timeline:
Last date of submitting your entry: 21st December 23:59 hrs.
Judging and selection of top 25 entries: 22nd – 24th December.
Online Promotion Period: 25th December – 1st January
Result Declaration: 2’nd January
Judging:
Final results will be based on two different fields.
70% - position based points where the individual standing of each artist will be decided by our judging
panel comprising of the EDM artists performing at Saarang 2017.
30% - position based points based on the number of likes obtained by each participant’s post on the events
page.
Position based points* - All the entries will be ranked and each rank will have a distinct value with #1 with
the highest value.
In the event of a dispute, the decision of the Saarang team will be final.
Incentives:
1) The winner will be offered the pre-opening slot at EDM Night 2017 and a chance to open for
both Marnik and Sartek. The winner will also be given a wildcard entry into Maruti Suzuki's colours
of youth reality show aired on MTV..
2) 2-5th place will be given FanPass tickets and goodies.
3) All the participants selected for the final round will be given 2 gallery tickets.
The competition is supported by Shark and Ink, and Kasa Events.
