Director, Screenwriter and Lyricist Kavitha Lankesh to release the book “Sky-Clad: The Extraordinary Life and Times of Akka Mahadevi” by Author Mukunda Rao on 15^th April 2018 at Ranga Shankara, Bengaluru.

Join us to celebrate the release of Sky-Clad. The Author will be in conversation with Vanamala Viswanatha, educationist & translator and K.S Vaishali, professor, Department of English, Bangalore University.

This will be followed by a recitation of Akka Mahadevi’s verses.

The book encapsulates the extraordinary life of Akka Mahadevi, saint, poet and one of the foremost feminist and spiritual icons of Indian history. Her powerful vachanas, written in twelfth-century Karnataka, trace a radical journey.
