Dhanak is the Annual Cultural Festival of IIST, Thiruvananthapuram, now entering its sixth glorious edition after the resounding success of its predecessors since its inception in 2009. Dhanak is another word for "Rainbow", which aptly represents the multitude of colors and variety inherently celebrated through the visual arts, dance, music, literature and film making. All these colors of joy, splendor, excitement, dedication and passion affirm the abundance of creativity in the human spirit, which is exactly what Dhanak 2014 aims to celebrate in its four days filled with innumerable events, workshops and, of course, sponsorship opportunities.

In this edition, Dhanak has set upon a theme of Crusader’s : Earth’s mightiest Heroes, a world inhabited by the indomitable courage of its heroes, the unyielding ferocity of its creatures big and small and the unbelievable possibilities of its magic, all working together to create an unforgettable experience for every visitor to this land of wonder and adventure.
