We are hosting a Cuban Salsa Workshop. The teacher is Wim Boussery from Belgium.

What is Cuban Salsa and how is it different?

Cuban salsa is one of the richest styles of Salsa and one that is deeply rooted into the history and traditions of Cuba; one of the rare places on Earth to have seen a diversity of cultural crossbreeding, between Europe, Africa and the Americas.
The result is a fascinating musical genre, where traditional influences melt with the craziest innovations. It is also a fascinating dancing style, where personal creativity, body expression, partner connection and social aspects take more importance than technical skills.

You will learn about the basic dance attitude for Salsa; so that your bodyweight is in the right direction and the hips are making that smooth movement so typical in the Cuban Salsa. There are a lot of combinations in salsa but the way you dance whatever combination, from simple to complicated is what makes you a better dancer. It all depends on how you dance eventually making it nice and comfortable to do as well as to watch. Not the complexity but the way you do it makes Cuban Salsa so beautiful.
