CONSORTIUM is one of the very few conventions in India which is organized by engineering undergraduates.With thought-stimulating strategic events, interactive conferences and technical fairand a total of 10 events which thoroughly test participants’ managerial and entrepreneurial skills, CONSORTIUM aims to sow the seeds of entrepreneurship amongst the new breed of engineers and catalyze their promising ideas so as to actuate a revolution.

The following are the highlights of the event:

1.       Ascent-This is the B-Plan event that is mainly targeted at participants who are veterans with their own ideas and B-Plans which have not yet been incubated. With CIVN as an active body in the college, we aim to incubate the B-Plans and mentor them to execution.

2.    E-summit-The E-Summit comprises of panel discussions, interactive session and dinner with guests. The panel discussions will aim to edify students on the working of startups and many challenges faced during the whole process of starting up a new venture.Thetopics for panel discussions are: -(i)Why engineers should be entrepreneursand (ii)Startup ecosystem in India.  It is a great platform for the students to interact with esteemed academics and experienced entrepreneurs.

3.    Tech-Preneur fair:This event includes an exhibition of technical innovations that have created successful business models in several fields, mainly technical entrepreneurship. The exhibition promises to be an inspiration to technical undergraduates and provide them opportunities for internship in their companies. This will also prove beneficial for networking and on experience sharing part for the aspiring entrepreneurs.

4.    Techno-Man-It is a paper presentation event. The cases are strictly related to technical problems and participants have to study the cases thoroughly, based on their respective departments, and present solutions which include all the aspects from the technical innovation to industrializing it. The selected papers will be presented during E-summit so that many students will get an insight on how to tackle such problems effectively.

5.    Kaizen-Kaizen means continuous improvement and hence participants have to deal with continuous improvement of the depleting environment. They have to handle waste management companies. The challenge is to increase the efficiency in various processes of waste management, research on reusable products and develop a completely new structure to reduce carbon footprints. Focus would be on changing various policies of a company.

6.    Swades- An event on how to improve the business opportunities in rural areas. Participants are expected to study the cases of rural areas and suggest feasible ideas which can directly be implemented for development of entrepreneurial opportunities in those areas.This event inculcates the sense of social responsibilities among the youth.

Apart from these special events, there are about 8 events classified under the heads of Planning and management, Strategy and Marketing. Hence providing aplatform with events spaced out on every domain of Entrepreneurship, innovation and social responsibility.
