What if you could catch a glimpse of an extraordinary and magnificent dance drama, larger than all your dreams? Here is a golden chance to watch the world premiere of ‘BRAND LIFE’, a splendid confluence of dance, music and fashion production by Nikolina Nikoleski Dance Company. This tour de force work of art, which has been conceptualized by acclaimed Croatian dancer and choreographer Nikolina Nikoleski, will be a soulful representation of a life cycle weaved through a lyrical integration of contemporary dance, opera and fashionable ornamentation. Sponsored by AktivOrtho™, Jindal SAW, Austrian Airlines, Big Indian Wedding, Clove Dental and L’Opera, the evening will unveil a visually sumptuous musical dance drama that will bring together the creative power of professional contemporary dancers, opera singers and fashion.

 

Dance inspires fashion. It will indeed be true in the case of BRAND LIFE where the dramatic costumes by renowned fashion designer Nitin Kartikeya will add a new dimension and life to the performance. The world premiere of this thoughtfully curated sartorial symbiosis, BRAND LIFE will be staged at the capital’s Kamani Auditorium on 17th April and will be followed by subsequent performances across the world.  

 

BRAND LIFE is a powerful work of art that contemplates who we are v/s who we think we are, and how our lives could have turned out differently, whether through our own actions or by the vagaries of fate. It also examines how fortunate someone has been to have had the emotional support of a certain belief and how the combined energy of that belief safely carried the individual on a current to realise her own potential. Staged in 13 sequences, the unique event will showcase a journey, where one meets the self in different stages: as a young child, as the mature self and as the senior who is now only reflecting on memories, with the realization that there are only fewer chances to begin again. Without being critical or cynical, BRAND LIFE will examine our society and its inclination to label everything through brands, exclusivity and selection.

 

It is a performance free from the restrictions that constrain the creative impulse. Drawing a rich repertoire to create a powerful presentation of art and emotions, Nikolina and her unique performing troupe in age span of 4-75 years are eyeing to engage people from all walks of life, for whom the dancers will be an inspiration in recognizing the powerful impulses of nostalgia, memory and recollection.
