As teens and pre-teens navigate the crucial years between childhood and adulthood – they
need immense support and understanding from their parents.
Affectionate parents are eager to offer this support, but are often dismayed and sometimes
annoyed at the rebellion they encounter from their children when they attempt to offer this
support.
It is important for parents to understand that the Teen behaviour that amazes them - is
caused by the extensive changes that occur in adolescent brains.
Understanding the evolving teen brain is the only way to guide it to attain its maximum
potential.
The workshop “The art of Parenting a Teenager” introduces parents to the changes that
occur in the teen brain because of which teens behave the way they do.
Parents are acquainted with smart parenting techniques that use the discoveries of brain
science to enable effective communication with teenagers which then enables effective
parenting.
The workshop is a 2 hour session is for parents with children in the age group 9 - 19 years facilitated by Dr Debmita Dutta MBBS, MD who is a
parenting and wellness consultant.
