Organized every year by a group of Civil Engineering students from IIT Bombay, Aakaar provides a platform to budding civil engineers across the country to create, innovate and learn from various aspects of civil engineering through competitions, events and Symposium (research paper conference). Aakaar has gone on to become the undisputed frontrunner among civil engineering festivals.

Aakaar announced itself on the national stage in 2009 when a group of like minded students of the Department of Civil Engineering, IIT Bombay put their heart and mind to give civil engineering its due. Since then it has spread its wings farther attracting thousands of ambitious young engineers every year to compete for glory and recognition.

This year Aakaar aims to spread awareness about water concerns throughout the country. It targets innovative ways which can lead to sustainable water resources management and development.
